Family {Home for the Holidays} North Bend, WA

Well, it's been quite awhile since I have gotten out my lights to do an indoor portrait session. With the current weather, it was a must and since Gail and Roger had a beautiful home and an even more beautiful familly, I was honored to do it! We were able to spend two hours with Gail and Roger and their two daughters and their families. Let me not forget Great Grandma! Four generations together. I loved seeing all those sweet little children and the way they all loved to peek in where we were working and some wanted to be a part of it, some not so much. I loved even more the obvious love I could see coming from the grandparents to their grandchildren. What a gift! I hope that you will consider taking time to preserve these special moments with your family! Enjoy. Gretchen

Changing Directions with the Changing Seasons, Snoqualmie, WA {Snoqualmie, WA Photographer}

I love photography! I love learning more and more as I shoot and interact with all sorts of people. I love the joy that comes with seeing the ideas and thoughts flow out in a creative way. I was able and blessed to attend a local workshop two weeks ago that really inspired me. It was on creativity and lighting and the like. I learned a few new things, but the main thing that inspired me was working with the teachers (Stevn and Corinne Alavekios) and also meeting the other students. Hearing other peoples stories, where they are at, and where we all want to be heading. I felt that we were a group that had a wonderful experience together beyond just the basic day. That was a good, grounding, creativity stirring feeling. Sometimes, I have waited for someone to hire me in order to begin a process of creativity in my artwork of photography. I realize that I feel a part of me is dying almost when I get stagnant.  I also knew I wanted to take some new inspirations into my work from the

Puppy Love {Korf family takes the dive!}

I have never had a puppy or a dog my whole life. My kids have been begging me for years to get a puppy. I have been a firm believer in not making my life any more complicated and therefore, not adding a puppy into our family. Beside, I thought we would have more kids. We did not have more kids and therefore the present 3 decided that it was time to mercilessly beg for a puppy. Well, actually, I instigated the idea that we should look into some free dogs someone lost their house and needed to find good homes for. Surprisingly, my husband said, "Go ahead and call." Those dogs were not available, but the spark of wanting a dog had begun. The kids were totally stoked! Well that was more than 3 months ago. We weren't sure if we might go on a missions trip and we were praying about a dog all this time. Anyway, today, the time was right and the breeder I had visited had three males left still and they were ready to come home yesterday! (Thanks to Donna at Mt Si Golde
