Snoqualmie Family Portraits- Meadowbrook Farm {Sunny Day}

Chris and Chelsea have 4 children, two boys and twin girls. It was a beautiful and warm day. We enjoyed the sunshine at Meadowbrook Farm. A natural open space in Snoqualmie/North Bend area. We often see the huge herd of elk that live in this area. They usually come out at dusk. Chris and Chelsea are so photogenic. Their love radiates. I am so glad I have gotten to know them over the years. They live very near to me in Snoqualmie Ridge. Chelsea is an amazing artist! Iris was so sweet with Chelsea, I love this sweet moment. The picture of Chris and Chelsea is very nice in  b and w too. Chelsea and I have the same curly hair. It sure looks good here! The whole family.  It was just windy enough to blow the balloons away some of the time. The boys, Brennan and Caleb had such a sweet snuggle going on! A loving family, I'm so blessed to know them! As your summer fills up, consider hiring us to document your family get togethers, your birthday parties, your relative...

Natural Light Snoqualmie Photographer (Carbonell Family)

I had the pleasure in the warm, bright sunshine to photograph my friend's family on Saturday. We had the vast, open, freshly mowed field to ourselves complete with yellow flowers. They have twin girls. One twin was very excited and happy to wear her dress, while the other preferred to wear her cute pony shirt and was very shy. We walked around the field, to the forest and even got out some balloons. The balloons were flying all over in the wind and popping. It was quite and experience! More to come soon and I hope you are enjoying this amazing weather as much as we are. Don't forget, Mother's Day is on Sunday. We have gift certificates for $50 off this week only. Give me a call to reserve yours! Enjoy~ Gretchen 425-922-2324

Outdoor Seattle Area Photographer. How we deal with the rain.....

Living near Seattle and being outdoor photographers primarily, has it's challenges. For one, I get jealous of my photographer friends posts in California in April. They are all like, "I had so much fun at our shoot today. It was sunny and 70! Perfect weather!" I groan, out loud...."Come on sunshine!!" Then I start bargaining, "OK, I'll take just misting rather than pouring rain...Please God! Send some wind." In fact, I always let my clients know that we will schedule their sessions, but it's possible rain will cancel. It's OK, in the end, we really end up with a break in the weather most of the time and some really cool clouds and really amazing sunbeams. So, today, I had a family session scheduled. I was literally looking at the weather forecast of rain rain and more rain. I kept hoping it would pass. I called Geni this morning an hour before and consulted with her...."What do you think Geni?" When we talked an hour ...

Family {Home for the Holidays} North Bend, WA

Well, it's been quite awhile since I have gotten out my lights to do an indoor portrait session. With the current weather, it was a must and since Gail and Roger had a beautiful home and an even more beautiful familly, I was honored to do it! We were able to spend two hours with Gail and Roger and their two daughters and their families. Let me not forget Great Grandma! Four generations together. I loved seeing all those sweet little children and the way they all loved to peek in where we were working and some wanted to be a part of it, some not so much. I loved even more the obvious love I could see coming from the grandparents to their grandchildren. What a gift! I hope that you will consider taking time to preserve these special moments with your family! Enjoy. Gretchen

Family Portaits {Snoqualmie + Natural Light= Fun}

We had the best time taking these family portraits with the Wu family. They were a delight to work with. We could feel the love these parents have for their two sweet children and for each other. We all had fun running around the field and barn, but our favorite sweet moments were blowing dandelions together and making wishes. The rain barely held back, we almost cancelled, but I am so glad we didn't!

Large Family Portraits in Nature

We had the privilege to photograph our extended family last weekend. They were all in for the 4th of July. 27 people in all! We went to Great Wolf Lodge, it rained the whole time, but we didn't care because it's all indoors. Then we went to Seattle to sight see and yes, we rode the Duck! Very fun. I would recommend it to everyone. Not kidding. We were laughing almost the whole time. Then a big bbq at Gpa and Gmas with a fireworks finally. Monday, the whole group came out to our neck of the woods. We were out in a wonderful field with barn in our area. I wasn't sure we would get the mountain in because the clouds were blocking the sun, but at the very last minute the sun broke through the clouds and lite up the mountain. Fantastic!!! Families grow and change so much over time, it seems like we hardly notice. Then one day we wake up, they are no longer babies, but now toddlers and on up the line. Take time for some family portraits, you'll be so glad you did! We plan to...
