Wedding Sneek Peek, Mike and Helene {Fall City and Duvall, WA}

Last weekend, Joe and I were happy to be able to capture the blessing ceremony of Mike and Helene. They got married in Leavenworth a year ago and wanted to bless their ceremony in the church. They are two wonderful people, funny and in love. It was very  nice to share the special day with them and their joy with each other and their friends and family certainly has not diminished over the last year. The love radiated from them throughout their close friends and family throughout the ceremony and bbq reception. It threatened to rain and we got a little sprinkled, but all went well and I am very glad to share with you these sneek peeks. We are busily working on our images from the weddings of the summer and hope to have them all wrapped up in October which is quickly upon us. We are currently booking for senior pictures for one or two more weeks and also for family Christmas pictures that can be used on the very wonderful, fancy cards we produce. Not a wedding sneek peek {Fall City, WA Natural Light}

We were hired about a month ago to photograph a blessing ceremony and following bbq reception in Duvall and Fall City respectively. I was very happy to do the job, the bride seemed very sweet and laid back about everything as they had already been married a year and this was a blessing ceremony (more on that in another post, the sneek peek post)  These images are of people at the reception who wanted a professional portrait. The weather held out and we had a great time. My favorite was the teen boy who sat in the car. His mom came to us and said, "Would you follow me to the car to get my boy out so he will take a picture with me?" "Sure, we said." So off we went and he begrudgingly came out, removed his hands from his pockets and I think we got a few sweet images of his mom and him. He earlier, had said to me "That looks like a cannon", referring to my camera with a large and long lens. I joked, "it IS a Canon! See it says right here!" I pointed

Album Cover Images, Sammi. {Snoqualmie Fields and Sunset}

We were privileged to be asked to take Sammi's images for her album cover! She has had amazing opportunity to record her God give talent recently and I can't wait to see where she goes from here. She had the idea to use this white dress. We weren't sure how it would come out, but when we saw the images we were all blown away and delighted. We had a blast with Sammi, she is full of smiles, she likes Joe's joke (well, sorta;-) and we all enjoyed our photo shoot together! Keep looking in the coming months for her album release, we'll link it up here when it's all said and done. Enjoy! Gretchen

More fun in the Field with Horses {Snoqualmie Child Photography}

Some of these were already posted, but I wanted to share a handful more. We took our three girls out for their annual hat pictures. We were very very very late. Miserably late I tell you. This is happening each year a little later. This is not good. This defeats our purpose of capturing the pictures one year apart. There is alas another problem, the hat. The hat, you see has been lost for a few years and another hat was substituted. Then the unbelievable happened. Serafina grew out of the hat! When she was 14, she had to really cram her noggin' in there. So I took to taking a few pictures of her holding the hat, not the same affect. The idea was in the beginning to capture them in the hat while it was very big, adult size and show the progression until it fits. So I guess I give up the hat for her now. This is not easy for me to do as I have been working on this project with my kids for 14 years. Josie and Gabi can still fit the hat, so we will continue, but here we are with late,

3 boys+Field+Sunlight= Gorgeous images {Snoqualmie Natural Light Portraits}

A dear elementary school friend, Marquelle, called me up out of the blue the other day to ask us a big favor. Would we be able to squeeze in a photo shoot while her nephew was still here from out of town? And, her son had gotten hurt on the pavement the other day and required some stitches, so would we be able to retouch those out? I wasn't sure at first of the timing and if we would be able to make it work with all of our schedules, but I am so glad we did because the boys were so fun and cooperative and smiley that it made our job a total breeze. The light and set up was amazing and we got tons of fun images of all the boys together and separate. As a bonus, we got to catch up a little more and eat afterward at Sno Thai, the recently changed owners place by our house in Snoqualmie Ridge. It was great food and great fellowship!
