{Winter Wonderland+ Kids= Beautiful Day!}

The last time it snowed, I was a bit under the weather, so I missed out on taking very many pictures. I promised myself the next snow day, I would be out there capturing all the beauty around me. So the kids crawled in to my bed this morning all excited that there was snow! SNOW MOM SNOW!! You should have seen the cute smiles on their excited faces. So we loaded up the van and wandered around until we found the perfect location. The roads were good and we spent several hours taking pictures and getting warmed up in the car! Then we went to see a few friends where I took a few more pictures. That's my idea of a wonderful day. Kids, Snow, Photography, Beautiful landscape and let me not forget that amazing split pea soup I ate that my Pastor made. Mmmm mmmm good! Gretchen

New Prices for Jan 2011!

We have updated our website to reflect the new winter pricing for 2011! Yes, 2011! Can you believe it? It seems easier this year to go from 2011, than it did last year to jump from 2009 to 2010, doesn't it? I think it the teen digits. We enjoyed many blessings in 2010 and we thank the Lord for each and everyone of them, knowing that without His mighty hands all around us, filtering everything that comes our way, we would be somewhere else altogether. Praises to the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. We are also so very thankful for all of you our friends, family and clients who keep encouraging us and bringing so much joy to our lives as we spend time photographing your special families and events! Please go to www.GretchenFawnPhotography.com , click on the "new pricing" button and read through our new pricing and format to digital. We think you will be as excited as we are. There is also a new incentive for referring your friends and family as a special thank you to you, our

Fun with Photoshop and new camera!

Yes! The new camera has finally arrived. I was so excited to try it out this week. I took these photos and then enhanced them in photoshop. I have enjoyed this quiet night at home to explore and create. The options really are endless. And beautiful. Goodnight friends. Gretchen

When it rains, it pours, so to speak.

Last Sat, we had not one, but two events. We were happily busy all day. We took our chances in the blustery weather and I am so glad to we did to photograph this lovely family. The "B" family has this breathtaking view just out back of their home. It was quite cold, but don't worry, I stole Joe's hat and off to work we went, all the while pretending it wasn't 40 and blustery. The images look beautiful, both the subjects and the sun were fantastic and lovely. In the evening we were able to set up our indoor setup which we don't do much being natural light photographers. We wanted to offer pictures at our church Christmas party. I am still getting them all ready for everyone, but will share a sneek peek with you today! Then I will post them all on the website so you can order yours if you would like to. Details to come soon. A special thanks to Joe, my husband, and Kari Kuhn for being extra encouraging that night=) And, did I mention the roast beef was divine? I
