We planned to meet Wes in Fall City at an old barn Joe had spotted last summer while driving around. This barn was up on blocks and looked like it would be soon torn down. It was a sunny, warm evening. We had about an hour of good sunlight left before the radiant sunshine went behind the hillside. We had a great time with Wes, laughing and walking around the property. I figured it wasn't his favorite thing to do, but he wanted to make his mom happy and I think he had a pretty good time in the end. At least I will flatter myself in thinking so;-) We got some amazing shots. Just as we were walking through the barn to go towards the trees, the sun shone under the roof and I said, "hold it right there, it's amazing and perfect light!" In fact, his Dad told me it looked like it would have been added with photoshop. Rest assured, it was real. Wes will even vouch for me on that one! Enjoy, Gretchen

Yes! The new camera has finally arrived. I was so excited to try it out this week. I took these photos and then enhanced them in photoshop. I have enjoyed this quiet night at home to explore and create. The options really are endless. And beautiful. Goodnight friends. Gretchen

Fall colors make for the best pictures. I went scouting for a good location yesterday for a senior picture shoot I was about to do later that day and found the best park with colorful leaves and trees with leaves everywhere! It was amazing! When I came back to do the shoot a few hours later, there was trouble. The lawnmower guy was going around gobbling up all the pretty leaves. My assistant and I had to stake out our spot and set our stuff down there to keep his leaf gobbling away. Don't worry though, we got some amazing leaf shots and then he got the rest of the leaves!
