About me {Snoqualmie, WA photographer}

I have been updating my website and blog and branding myself. No, I did not burn a mark into my flesh with a hot iron...It means choosing what you want to portray and then making your blog and web "storefront" reflect this. Do I want to be seen as serious or fun? Elegant or trendy? Modern or Vintage? What words would describe me? These are the kind of things I have been mulling over these last few months. Who would have thought this would be so hard? Growing is hard I suppose. You must clear away the "weeds", plow the "ground", choose and plant new "seeds", then you must cultivate that garden of your creativity. Taking time most days to consider all of this has been a great way to define myself. I'm not quite done, but as many of you know, ReSTARt with Jasmine Star has been an amazing catalyst for the last three months. Below are the images I have collected that represent me for my "Photo Safari" assignment. I have been challenged a

Oh Canada! Part 2 (Vancouver, BC) {Natural Light Photographer Snoqualmie, WA}

Caught these two lovely sunbeams over my Daughter on the way to the car! Puffy Clouds and Bridges. Reminds me of the Narrows Bridge in Tacoma, WA The Greek Food place. Homemade Pitas and they took American cash at straight trade! Kel and Whitney are on the right. We will see them again next week for our final episode of ReSTARt on Creative Live The other side of the Bridge where there is a stone step path down to get a closer look. Another sunbeam, hey it's been raining a long time in Seattle now. Sunbeams are a rare thing! This "Rabies Alert" sign was something I've never seen. I hope they didn't have any incidents here. Oh Canada! This flag in the wind and sun inspired me! Sunbeams, eating Greek food and puffy clouds are some of my favorite things! We got to enjoy all three when we went to Vancouver last month! As I told you, we were waiting for Kel and Whitney at Starbucks in Vancouver, BC, after a adventuresome drive into t

Oh Canada, Oh Canada!!! On a recent trip up North, we were able to enter into Canada with our handy new passports! Why does it seem scary to cross the border? We drove up to the little station with passports in the glove box, we were getting nearer I started to have a little panic, "Are they really in there? Do I have fruit that won't be allowed?" Silly, it was totally fine, they asked what we were doing there and how long we'd stay as usual. They did give our three kids a look down and wanted to know why they weren't in school, but other than that, it was no problem.  After calming down, we careened down the sunny road in our little white prius, past the blueberry bushes with the empty red branches, and into a new place! Vancouver. It was a little farther than I realized from the border, but in about half hour we entered the city. We had to find a place to meet up with Kel and Whitney, friends from reSTARt, so being Seattlites, we agreed to go to Starbucks of co
