Thinking about Weddings

Joe and I have officially decided to jump into wedding photography! We are so excited to have our first three bookings arranged for the summer. I have taken other wedding pictures in the past, but I think there is a whole new outlook on it now. There is not only the change to digital, but also the change from merely the standard or journalistic outlook, but the artistic outlook. The capturing of emotion and moments, details, both large and small. There is a whole package out there for weddings. A package that is so celebratory, not just a ceremony. What a joy to be a part of this trend. To be able to capture these special forever moments in the new life of a marriage. To record forever the picture that will hang above the mantle and grace the albums that will be handed down to your children's grandchildren to share the story of your life beginning together. Such nostalgia, such joy, such emotion. I love it! I love that photography can be so many things in the way of preserving, protecting, providing. I love the opportunity to photograph weddings.
